Christmas Stocking Class: March 5, 12 & 26
Sundays, March 5, 12 & 26 from 11AM - 1PM
Get a jump start on those hand knit Christmas stockings! This is a "choose-your-own-adventure" kind of knitting class where we will all be working from Melynda Bernardi's Comfort & Joy pattern book of 7 original stocking designs. Select a simple stockinette design or try your hand at color work for your stocking. Whichever design you choose, you'll cherish these stockings year after year. And, you'll have plenty of time to make more if your goal is to create a set for the whole family.
This class is intended for beginner/advanced beginner knitters who know knitting basics. It's also helpful if you already have some experience with double pointed needles. But, if you don't, a patient attitude and adventurous spirit will take you far!
Homework: Knit your gauge swatch: 19 stitches and 27 rounds sts = 4 " in stockinette stitch (in the round).
Supplies: Comfort & Joy pattern book, worsted weight yarn in colors and yardage to complete your chosen stocking design, US 6 double pointed knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge -- we also have 12" circular needles that you could also use for part of your stocking if that's easier), stitch markers, and yarn needle to be purchased at Home Made.
Class fee includes three 2-hour sessions. Supplies are sold separately.
