Stowe Bag

Grainline Studio Stowe Bag

We recently added Grainline Studio sewing patterns to our shop, including the very versatile and functional Stowe Bag pattern they collaborated on with Fringe Supply Co. I'm a gal who can never have enough project bags--especially since I think I have at least five knitting projects going at the moment--so I decided the Stowe Bag would be my first Grainline sewing project.

I used this really fun apple Melody Miller canvas print from Cotton + Steel Fabrics to make the small version. Such a great size for small to medium projects!

I also made the large version (pictured here) which I had been using to store my Caledonia Cowl supplies. I used Robert Kaufman Essex, a cotton/linen blend, for a neutral bag but added pops of color with orange thread and chartreuse bias binding.

You don't have to use this bag just for knitting projects, though. They're great for carrying and organizing lots of stuff for sewing, travel, shopping. Whatever! Now that my Stowe Bags are finished, I can't wait to make the Alder Shirtdress, Willow Tank, Scout Tee, and Lakeside Pajamas. Basically, I want to make it all. Don't you???

Grainline Studio Stowe Bag sewing pattern is sold here. You can also check out our other patterns & books here.

Our fabric yardage is available in-store or by mail order. Just holler if we can help! 609-536-2940 or hello@behomemade.com
