Little Willet in Kenzie

Little Willet in Kenzie

I recently finished this Little Willet cardigan for the babe-on-the-way. It's the 12 month size so we'll be ready for next year, though you could knit this in a smaller version, too. I mean, can a baby really have too many handmade things to welcome him or her into the world? I think you know where I stand on this one.

This was a pretty easy and quick project -- a great baby shower project! I used the Little Willet knitting pattern and Hikoo Kenzie yarn in the color Bayberry -- a beautiful tweed made of New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca with a little bit of nylon and silk noils. A few of my other favorite baby knits you might also consider are Camilla Babe, Honeybear Hoodie, Pint-Sized Pullover, and the Little Darling Earflap Hat.

We've also been using Hikoo Kenzie yarn in our Clayoquot Toque Knit Kits and are hosting one more Clayoquot Toque workshop that covers color work basics before taking a little teaching break for the baby's arrival. Here's a few beauties from our last workshop. Will you join us? Details and online registration about our upcoming Clayoquot Toque Class can be found here.

And, Hikoo Kenzie yarn is sold in our web shop here.
