Find Your Fade Shawl

[insert jaw drop]

So, I've been drooling over Andrea Mowry's Find Your Fade shawl and I know I'm in good company. Have you seen all the pretty WIPs and finished ones here and here?! You can check out all her gorgeous patterns for loads of inspiration here.

I think what's so special about the Find Your Fade pattern is that it invites you to not only have a whole lot of fun selecting the colors for your "Fade," but also to make it uniquely yours. Choose one color or go for seven, make it from solid or semi-solid yarns, or pick speckled or multi-colored yarns that lead you from one color to another.

I'm ready to move my Find Your Fade shawl to the top of my queue. Will you join me? If you're local, we also have an upcoming Find Your Fade Shawl Class on Thursdays, March 23 & 30 from 6-8PM. In this class, we'll take you through the first few sections of garter "color melting" and "lace play" for your shawl so that you'll feel confident moving forward on your own. Then we can proudly snuggle it around our shoulders as we enjoy a date night dinner on the bay! Doesn't that sound nice???

Find Your Fade Shawl

We recently added a bunch of Woolen Boon Classic speckled fingering yarn to our shop that's very well-suited to this project. It's fabulous and was so well-received that, within a few days of listing it in our shop, some colors already sold out. No complaining here! I say that because we do have some colors left in stock. And, if you were hoping to use this yarn for our Find Your Fade Shawl Class, are there any colors still available that you can start out with? We'll be ordering more so just check in with us asap so we can make sure the rest of your requested colors are on order.

Here are two color ways with Woolen Boon that we dreamed up. . .

Any fingering weight yarn would work for this beautiful shawl. If speckles aren't your thing, a Find Your Fade would be really pretty made with Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light or Twist Light and/or Manos del Uruguay Algeria yarn. I love all these options (Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit C).

Here are a few dreamy color combinations you might choose. . .
