I know we're already well into January, but I thought I'd share one of the sewn Christmas gifts I made last month -- another Poolside Tote! I really do love this pattern AND the finished bag. I also love how quickly the steps move on the second go-round.
This one was made for my fairy godmother Carol. Carol loves going to farmers' markets during the Summer so I thought this Poolside Tote would be perfect for toting all that delicious produce, bread, and (our favorite) guacamole. Summer will be return soon enough!
For the fabric, I chose Robert Kaufman's Essex in Denim (a cotton/linen blend) and a few coordinating prints from Cotton + Steel to add the personality.
I'm a huge fan of Noodlehead's sewing patterns -- her design style and the way she explains the steps resonate with me. And, the Poolside Tote has become one of my favorite bags to make. I have it in the queue to make more (after I wrap up a few other projects that I've got in the works).
Would you sew one???
