Ponchos are so easygoing and stylish, don't you think? While I have plans to knit one, it was a much speedier undertaking to stitch up a Popover Poncho first.
The Popover Poncho sewing pattern by April Rhodes has clear instructions with full color photos, making this a super fun and satisfying project for even more beginner sewers. Ever since Kate and Ellie made theirs this past Summer, I had been daydreaming about making my own. Plus, I've been getting requests to make this a class project. . .
So, here we have it! My version of The Popover Poncho in fabulous Robert Kaufman Mammoth Flannel AND a Popover Poncho Class on the calendar for Sundays, November 22 & 29. If you really want to participate but request alternative dates, just let me know and we'll figure something out. Seriously. I kinda rolled the dice in *hoping* these dates would work, especially because it's so peaceful to sew on a Sunday afternoon.
I'm also sharing photos of our Robert Kaufman Mammoth Flannel and Shetland Flannel so you can see what choices we now have in the Home Made shop. Which will you choose? Can you tell I'm really, really in love with these flannels. So beautiful and soft and definite crowd pleasers. If you don't make a poncho, I think they'd be perfect for pajama pants or a throw blanket. Holiday gifts!
