Just In from Cloud9 Fabrics

When new shipments of yarn or fabric arrive, my head starts spinning as I imagine all the fun projects I could make. So much inspiration lies in simply seeing beautiful new fabrics in person--you can feel them, see how they mix and match together, and even hold them up to "try them on" as you ask your sweetheart whether a certain print would make a better dress or top. Either would look great, he says diplomatically. ;)

Our latest fabric inspiration comes to us courtesy of Cloud9 Fabrics. We just added select prints from their First Light, Aubade, Waterland, and Morning Song organic cotton fabric collections. And, boy are they pretty!

Right now, I have my sights set on another Riding Peplum (top or dress???), a Josephine Blouse, and a Lou Box Top. One of my tops will definitely be in the lightweight Rich Meadow Voile.

I also love all the project ideas on Cloud9 Fabric's blog -- on there you'll find free patterns for beautiful quilts and an adorable cloud-shaped zipper pouch. The cloud canvas would be great for storage baskets, recovering kitchen chairs, a new tote bag, or even a skirt! What to make first?!

I'm in pretty deep with wedding planning and coordination since Brian's and my big day is just three weeks away. If you can believe it, wedding planning is seriously cutting into my craft time. What is that all about?! Well, there are still crafts but they're wedding-related crafts instead of shop-related crafts. That said, my fingers are crossed that I'll squeeze in at least one fun sewing project with the new fabrics! Delusional or optimistic?

Regardless, nobody says you have to wait until I make something with this new fabric to get your craft on. What will YOU make with this irresistible new fabric???

All our fabric is available in 1/2 yard increments in our brick & mortar shop. However, if you don't live nearby and would like to place a mail order, send an email to {hello AT behomemade DOT com} with your order request. We can now send email invoices to make payment super easy and, in turn, send your order off to you asap!
