Even if you're not actually headed back-to-school, this time of year is still pretty exciting. We get stoked for the changing of the seasons AND we can set some personal goals about what we're going to learn or challenge ourselves to do during the "school year." Why wait until the New Year to do it?! Carpe diem!

If you already know some beginner knitting techniques like cast on, knit and purl and are now ready to tackle circular knitting and with different stitch patterns, our Cowl in the Round Class is for YOU! Join us on Tuesday, September 8 from 6 - 8 PM and we'll refresh you on knitting basics and then get you started on one of two cowl patterns -- both knit in the round on circular needles. Both make fabulous holiday gifts by the way. . .

Choose to make a linen stitch pattern (photograph above) or a diagonal rib stitch pattern (photograph below). Whichever you choose, if it's made with beautiful yarn, you'll brush up on your skills, learn some new to create a cowl that will get you excited about circular knitting.

We also have the Northward Cable Hat Class scheduled for Thursday, September 17 from 6 - 8 PM OR Tuesday, October 13 from 6 - 8 PM. In this workshop, we'll show you how to knit cables while you make a cozy beanie hat out of fast-knitting bulky weight yarn. Another awesome holiday gift to give this upcoming holiday season. . .

If you don't know how to knit (YET!) we've also got the perfect class for you. We've upgraded our Learn to Knit Class and will be telling you all about right here on the blog soon. In the meantime, you can read about that one, too, on our class schedule here.
