It's no secret around here that Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light yarn is one of our absolute favorites. We've used this yarn most recently for our Nostalgia Shawl Knit Kits. By the way, all four color ways are BACK IN STOCK! You can grab one in our brick and mortar shop or online here and then let us know if you'd like to join our complimentary workshop taking place THIS Sunday.

While I unpack and tag our latest shipment of Madelinetosh, I thought I'd share two projects that my friend Tammy and her daughter Elizabeth recently completed out of Tosh Merino Light. Drool first, then let's figure out when you can add these to your project queue.

I've been obsessed with the color Candlewick, that rich and vibrant yellow, ever since it arrived in our last shipment. So, I was really excited (and a little jealous) when Tammy decided to use it in her Color Affection shawl. The Mica (light blue) and Modern Fair Isle (white with specks) are perfectly complementary without stealing the show.

Elizabeth also brought in her Skipping Dots shawlette to share. And it's just as drool-worthy. Elizabeth chose the approachable and soothing earth tones of Lowland and Whiskers. Instead of following the pattern and introducing a third color, Elizabeth merely repeated her contrast color twice. Because why not? Not following all the "rules" sure turned out pretty. . .

This time of year is always hectic, leaving me very little time for knitting. I relish the chance to see what my customers are making with our yarns even more and am so happy to show off their beautiful handwork. You can find other customer projects we post on Facebook and Instagram. And, you can find our favorite Tosh Merino Light -- along with loads of other gorgeous yarn -- at Home Made!
