Website Makeover & Summer Hours

June 20, 2015 Julie Petrella

My babe in all his beach-lovin' glory. (: I think my face looked just like that after I discovered that I successfully set up my new website for you all to see.

Summer is here and boy does it feel good. We're starting our new shop hours and will be open 6 days per week. That means, you can stop by Sunday 11AM-4PM and Monday through Friday 10AM-5PM. We're closing on Saturdays and if you've experienced the beach traffic, you'll understand why.

For a while now, I've been working behind-the-scenes on Home Made's makeover. After 4 1/2 years, it was time to give Home Made some sprucing up. You may have noticed that we have a new logo. We're in the process of getting a new sign for our brick and mortar shop. And, today I launched our new website! With an online shop! Holy moly. Hallelujah.

As someone who doesn't have much expertise in these website things, you'll have to pardon me while I pat myself on the back and celebrate. This is kinda a big deal, not only because it's something I've wanted to do for a few years but because I did ALL. BY. MY. SELF.

While Home Made's online shop probably won't ever showcase our brick and mortar shop's full range of products, I will be adding more and more to the online shop over the next few days and weeks. I ask that you bear with me as I continue to tweak and make improvements to the website. It's a work in progress so if you notice something funky, let me know!

Now. It's time to get on with my bad website-designin'self, close the computer, and pour that glass of wine!

Thank you, Ladies! And, yes, Mary — we do offer knitting classes. You can find the most current information about our classes on our “Class Schedule” page here:

We’ll be adding more classes for the Fall and Winter — to receive updates about that, you can sign up to receive our email newsletter (scroll down to bottom of the web page to see sign up on bottom right side). Or, I can add you manually to my email list — I just like to ask for your permission first. (:
