Preparing for the holidays is a lot of work! There’s decorating your home both inside and out, baking cookies, planning a holiday meal(s) with family, and finding the perfect gifts for loved ones (I have yet to do any of this but am exhausted just thinking about it). You may have guessed that my holidays are filled with handmade goodies but, really, who has time to make it all herself?! Even Santa outsources his production to Elves. Why can’t you?
My Elves include artisans and crafters who have been preparing for this season all year (or are at least several months ahead of me). Here’s a short round-up of places I’ll be checking out for all things holiday and handmade.
If you’re not addicted to Etsy already, you must check it out. Your go-to online resource for everything and anything handmade. Some of my recent favorites include OneCanoeTwo and Slide Sideways.

Starting December 18th, this market for local artisans is open daily through the New Year.
Now, this is far from an exhaustive list of craft shows and shops but I hope this helps serve as a reminder to check out all the great handmade gift shopping options that are available. Where do you like to search for handmade gifts?
