Happy Spring! Finally, right?
I’m trying not to let my stuffy nose and sneezing get me down, even though these are the true signs for me that spring has sprung. I’m gearing up for a busy week here at Home Made. So, over the weekend, I took hold of the situation. I broke out my trusty Nettie Pot, nasal decongestant (in addition to the usual allergy medications), mediocre romantic comedy DVDs, and knit toy projects as that’s what I assumed the doctor would’ve prescribed for my symptoms.
As you can see, my prescription not only lifts the spirits, but also provides some adorable toys that would be a sweet addition to any Easter basket.
Wait for it.
And, bigger Bunny has a new friend!
If you have some Easter baskets for some “older kids” to fill, I will tell you that these reversible toys entertain all ages. (:
So, if you’re in need of a prescription for those allergies and/or help gearing up for spring, check out the adorable (and free!) knit toy patterns by Spud & Chloe here and here. I used Blue Sky Alpacas organic worsted cotton yarn and size US 5 double-pointed needles for both toys (the reversible toy calls for Spud & Chloe sweater and a larger needle, but mine turned out just fine with these modifications). For the larger rabbit, I opted out of stuffing with a tennis ball and used Nature-Fil Bamboo Fiberfil to plump him up.
And, this arrived in the mail yesterday so I think some felt carrots are in order!
*Yarn, needles, and fiberfil used for these projects are available in Home Made’s shop!
