A Fruit Punch-y Stash + Dash Bag

September 01, 2011 Julie

The arrival of Timeless Treasure’s organic cotton Fruit Punch fabric was a perfect reason for me to stay up waaaay past my bedtime to stitch up one of Amy Butler’s Stash & Dash Bags. This sewing pattern offers three different size zip pouches and I chose to make the larger toiletry bag. But, wouldn’t this fabric also be adorable for the smaller coin purse? You can send in your child’s school lunch money in style!

From left to right:  Apples + Pears in Cream, Crosshatch in Turquoise, Small Apples + Pears in Multi, Crosshatch in Orange, Dots in Cream, and Crosshatch in Lime.

What a great fabric to inspire as you kick off the school year. Fruit Punch would make a sweet lunch bag, back-to-school skirt, teacher gift or pencil pouch. And, for those of us who don’t head back to school but still want in on the fun (well, I know I do!), you could make yourself a new lunch bag or some kitchen towels. And, who knows?! You might even get really wild and make yourself some dinner napkins, too.  ;)

Fruit Punch fabric, including fat quarter bundles, and Amy Butler sewing pattern are available for purchase in the Home Made shop!
