Rochelle’s Rainbow Scarf

October 02, 2011 Julie

At the request of her six year old niece for a “rainbow scarf,” my friend Rochelle came up with this fun striped scarf pattern. And, it was only her second knitting project!

The combination of Blue Sky Alpacas worsted multi-cotton yarn in Gherkin, Punch, and Slushie, and long stripes would make even Rainbow Brite proud to wear it (though, I’m sure her niece will have no idea who that is).

While this pattern is intended for a child’s scarf, it could easily be modified for kids (and adult kids) of all ages in any color combination. Wouldn’t it also be pretty in Blue Sky Alpacas solid worsted cotton in Shell, Wasabi, and Orchid?

Or, Mediterranean, Pumpkin, and Azul?

I’m giving out a free copy of the pattern with purchase of yarn for this scarf so stop on in and so you can get knitting!

Special thanks to Rochelle for sharing her scarf pattern and to Elleh for modeling the scarf and her mom Trish!
