Do you have plans this Saturday? Good. I heard you say “No” to that question.
You know why it’s good? Because it’s the 2nd Annual Empty Bowls Soup Sampling Event! And, you’re going!
Oh, and you can bring me some tastes to the shop because I’ll be holding down the fort here. I’m only down the street so pop over afterwards. Otherwise, if I hear that Congress Hall is serving Butternut Chowder again I will be forced to close the shop for a brief period of time to go get me some and that’s not a very good business policy. C’mon, help a gal out . .
Not only will you be enjoying some delicious soups from the area’s best restaurants, you will be feeding your soul because proceeds from the event go to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s Southern Branch and Imagine Render, the nonprofit in charge of the Empty Bowls project. Yummm all around.
For $10 (or more if you feel so inspired), you get to choose a handmade bowl–some of which were made here at Home Made a few short months ago–and taste some delicious soups. You can also stroll through the shops at Woodland Village and check out The Madd Potters’ Studio. This is the second year that The Madd Potters, Amanda and Julie, have organized this fabulous event so stop by their shop, tell them how awesome they are, and buy some of their pottery. (:
Now, since I already told you that you’re going, here’s the rest of the information you need to know so you have no excuse to flake out:
WHEN: 12 – 3 PM
WHERE: Woodland Village, 1943 N. Route 9 in Clermont (down the street from Home Made!)
If you have any question about this event, just holler. Have fun!
