Felt Ornaments Class

October 28, 2011 Julie

I know it’s not even Halloween yet. Or Thanksgiving. But, time continues to fly by so it’s smart to get a head start on your handmade holiday crafts, right? No pressure, people. But from what I’ve seen and heard, you all have been busy bees making your holiday gifts already!

I promise you won’t find a Christmas tree or twinkle lights up in the Home Made shop until after Thanksgiving. But, I would like to offer you a fun class project that might have you singin’ about a winter wonderland before you know it. Shoot, this weekend might even become a winter wonderland with our first snowfall (!!!) — that is, according to the predictions of Ms. Cecily Tynan last night.

Today, I added a new class to the roster for the Home Made studio — Felt Ornaments! The samples I have displayed in the shop have already been deemed “super cute” by quite a few people which allows me to say with confidence that I don’t think you’ll be able to resist.

We’ll be using some fabulous online tutorials like the Matryoska Doll Ornament tutorial from the lovely My Sparkle blog and the Felt Owl and Vintage Felt Baubles tutorials from the Bugs and Fishes blog (a source of endless inspiration for felt crafts!). And, you don’t need to have any prior hand stitching experience, or crafting experience for that matter, to join us!

Check out our classes page for the details by clicking here. And, while you’re there, you might as well check out all our other classes, including the Peace Wreath (another great holiday decoration or gift)!
