Happy New Year!  Home Made and I are ringing in 2012 with some terrific new organic cottons from Birch Fabrics in the shop. Birch Fabrics’ Circa 52 is just the right combination of fun and funky. You’ve got trees and owls and foxes and bunting banners and cars and scooters and space ships and robots! There’s something for kids of all ages. And, its subdued color palette serves as the perfect match for all that fun and funk. So, maybe it’s acceptable for a grown woman to, at the very least, sport a pair of pajama pants in Woodland Party? Of course it is! And, you know I will.

I’ve already cut and pre-washed some of the Space and Starburst prints to make a sweet set of pajamas to show off as a shop sample (which will, of course, later be given to my nephew, Finn). Also, Birch Fabrics has a great tutorial on their blog showcasing the applique techniques used for the Circa 52 Pebbles Quilt–you can check that out here.

What’s in your project pipeline for the New Year???
