Spread Some Love

January 18, 2012 Julie

Love is in the air. Maybe that’s why it’s been so windy lately!?

So, let’s keep spreading that love with a fun new project — the Love Banner! Celebrate Valentine’s Day or your Wedding Day with this super cute felt bunting. In the Love Banner Class, we will make a simple felt banner and then jazz it up with a bouquet of roses (picture above) so you can learn the basics of buntings. Then, you’ll be ready to make one for any and every occasion. Call off that search for a “Happy Pie Day” banner because you’ll know how to make your own! If you don’t like pie, or don’t believe pies deserve a celebratory banner, you could make a banner with your child’s name for decorating her/his bedroom instead. There’s a bunting for everybody. . .

After class, you might even bling up your banner with some sweet hand-stitching to add a little extra sweetness.

You can find out all the details for the Love Banner Class by clicking here. Don’t forget to stop in or call the shop at 609.536.2940 to register! Because I’ve been hearing this Stevie Wonder song in my head the entire time I’ve been writing this post (and I’m feeling silly), the first person to sing me this song — or the chorus, at the very least! –can register for half price. Yep, I’m serious. Let’s see what kind of pipes you got.

As I’m sure you already know, nothing says “I love you” better than a handmade bunting than a good, old-fashioned love note. So, we’ve added some gorgeous new Rifle Paper Co. cards to the shop so you can tell your sweetheart how amazing they are the old-fashioned way! If you suffer writer’s block, you can always turn to my man Stevie for some inspiration.
