Quilting (aka Income Tax Avoidance)

February 29, 2012 Julie

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m up to my eyeballs in income tax preparation. This year, filing is a little more complicated because this is the first year I’m filing for Home Made as well as my personal taxes.

So, what’s helping me keep my sanity? Quilting! Usually I revert to knitting to give me that meditative zen that comes with a craft that is very repetitive and methodical. But these days, I’m using quilting to tame the tax crazy.

Right now, I’m working on a “mystery” quilt pattern (though, I don’t think it’s a mystery anymore if you’ve already read the full pattern) with prints from Lotta Jansdotter’s Echo collection and Dear Stella’s Lanikai collection. I hope it won’t be too long before I can share the finished quilt with you.

How do you cope with the dreaded tax season?

Fabrics and sewing supplies are available for purchase in the Home Made shop!
