I made some fun new sew kits for you! With our new You’ve Been Jingled fabrics from Dear Stella, you can make a sweet Holiday Elf Stocking, too. The stocking on the left is made with You’ve Been Jingled; for the stocking on the right, I used some other fabrics that aren’t technically “holiday” but still felt festive to me. (:
This kit contains everything you need to make a You’ve Been Jingled Holiday Elf Stocking, short of a sewing machine and thread. Whether you hang them over your fireplace or use them to package a bottle of wine or other holiday gift, this is a terrific afternoon project that’ll get you in the holiday mood. Shoot, you could even embroider initials on the cuff to further personalize it!
The Holiday Elf Stocking Sew Kit is now available for purchase in the Home Made shop. If you’re interested in having this kit shipped to you or would like to make this project in a class here in the Home Made studio, just give me a shout at julie (AT) behomemade (DOT) com.
And, in the spirit of this brave post, I’ll share the photo behind the photo.
This is my kitchen. It’s also my daytime office (well, more accurately, my all-the-time office because I don’t clean up after myself at the end of each day). My real office is way messier with too many papers lying around. Who would want to take a photo in there?! I threw the coats and bags that were hanging on the hooks onto the floor to display the holiday stockings for this post. My beach hat lingers after last wearing it two weeks ago. The hat sits next to the odor neutralizer spray Aunt Robin just dropped off after a stray dog brushed his skunkaliscious fur all over my favorite jeans. I had lemon ginger tea with breakfast and haven’t yet put away the toaster from my peanut butter toast.
That’s how it goes today. How are things in your world? And, more importantly, who’s ready to sew some holiday stockings that are perfectly imperfect? Because YOU, your fabulous HUMAN self, made it.
