Do you know how to use scissors? Are you and your trigger finger available on Wednesday, November 14 or Thursday, December 6 from 6 – 8:30PM? Why? Because that’s all you need to take our Peace Wreath class!
We’re recycling old sweaters by cutting them up and hot glueing them onto a custom peace sign so you end up with a gorgeous wreath for the holidays (or all year round). It’s really that simple. I’m serious!
The Peace Wreath class continues to be one of our most popular workshops here in the Home Made studio so be sure to check your calendar and call or stop in to register so you can reserve your spot! More information about registration and this class is available right here.
And, if you’ve already taken this class and prefer to make this project on your own, Peace Wreath kits are now available for purchase in the Home Made shop!
Mittens are an essential winter accessory that make a perfect holiday gift because they’re a relatively quick project and irresistible in our Manos del Uruguay Maxima yarn. That’s why we turned this project into a knitting class — so you could learn how to start a project on double-pointed needles, increase and decrease stitches, use a stitch holder, and pick up stitches to make the thumb! Who’s ready to cast on?!
And, is it tad ironic that I followed up a bit about the peace sign by talking about an accessory that makes it impossible to form a peace sign while wearing it? Seriously, what kind of mixed messages am I sending here???
Before taking our Mittens class, it’s a good idea if you’ve already made a hat or two so you already have some familiarity with double-pointed needles already. This class is two sessions: Wednesdays, December 5 + 12 from 6 – 8PM. You know the drill — registration with payment is required to save your spot in class, so give me a call at 609.536.2940 or stop in to sign up!
If you’ve got a hankering to learn to knit, stay tuned because I’ll be sharing our new beginner knitting project and schedule some new dates. You can always shoot me an email at julie (AT) behomemade (DOT) com to sign up for our newsletter so I can keep you in the scheduling loop.
