When things get hectic during the holiday season and I’m feeling inspired by all the beautiful projects that await me, I try to stay focused by creating a separate “to-do” list with all the things I can’t possibly get to before December 31 but definitely want to tackle in the New Year.
Many of you have told me how learning to quilt is on your “to-do” list; so I thought I’d tell you that I just scheduled our Slideshow Quilt class for the New Year! You’re totally gonna take 2013, so get that red pen ready to check it off the list! This 3-session class will take place on Fridays, March 8 + 22 from 6 – 8PM and Friday, April 12 from 6 – 8:30PM. Click here for details.
Our Slideshow Quilt class is designed for the confident beginner who is ready to take your sewing up a notch by learning efficient rotary cutting and ironing techniques along with all the skills required to finish your first quilt, of course. Like mastering that 1/4 seam allowance, piecing with strip sets, and adding those borders and quilt binding!
You’ll get to choose from fabrics here in the Home Made shop to make your Baby or Lap quilt topper. Our first shop sample was made with Denyse Schmidt’s Flea Market Fancy fabrics, which you can see here. And, our latest baby-sized quilt topper (pictured here) was made with fun prints from Cloud9 Fabrics’ Happy Drawing collection.
Our cozy studio requires me to limit this class to four aspiring quilters (four people?!), so call 609.536.2940 or stop in to reserve your spot. Or, ask Santa to bring you a gift certificate! (:
