I’m moving along over here on my Audrey cardigan. This Audrey cardigan that I started last month.
The current status of this sweater is that I’m one full skein in, with three more skeins to go. I’d say I’m moving at a knitting rate of about 425 yards per month so maybe I’ll be modeling this baby for you come May. We’ll see. . .
And, yes, I already tried it on. As awkward as it is to try on a piece of clothing that’s still on your knitting needles, how could I not? It’s so pretty already!
I’ve also finally found my way to Downtown Abbey, which makes a terrific companion to knitting this sweater. Don’t give anything away, though. I’m only halfway through the first season!
In all, this sweater is nice and simple construction, with a fast garter stitch. Easy peasy. So, just stop resisting and join me in the fun by making your own! Then we can call each other at night before school the next morning to make sure we both wear our sweaters on the same day. Sweater besties!
That gorgeous yarn you see is SweetGeorgia Yarn’s Tough Love Sock in Ginger and the pattern is called Audrey by Jane Richmond Designs, both of which you can purchase right here at Home Made! And, if you don’t live nearby, just give a ring at 609.536.2940 and we’ll put together a mail order.
