Whoa. Come early April (or thereabouts) Brian and I are expecting our first little one to arrive. (!!!) This may be old news by now if you’ve stopped into the shop and seen my growing baby bump or read the scoop via our email newsletter. Wanna sign up for our newsletter? Just let me know at julie AT be homemade DOT com.
As my due date approaches, I’ll keep you posted about how the shop schedule will be affected during the transition time as I get used to being a new mama. In the meantime, let’s talk about all the sweet little things to be made! I’ve got about three and a half months to get to work.
For instance, I just finished blocking this lil’ gray and white striped Baby Tee, a top-down sweater with a onesie style neckline. The pattern is by Tot Toppers and I used the super wash Spud & Chloe Fine yarn. As it’s made with fingering yarn, it’ll be the perfect weight for my Spring baby boy. Don’t you think?
Of course, once this Baby Tee was finished I immediately cast on for another baby sweater in the yummy new Fibre Company yarn that recently arrived to the shop. Just a teaser: I’ll show you the yarn and that work-in-progress tomorrow. (:
Do you have any little ones for whom you’re knitting little things?
Spud & Chloe Fine yarn, the Baby Tee pattern, knitting needles and notions are all sold in the Home Made shop. Also worth noting, that fun red chevron fabric is BACK IN STOCK just in time for any holiday projects! If you don’t live nearby, just give a ring and we’l put together a mail order for you. 609.536.2940
