The latest project to have come off my knitting needles is Laylow. Laylow, one of three knitting patterns from Shannon Cook and Jane Richmond’s Seasonless : Mini Collection, is a light and airy shawl that’s designed to take you from Winter to Spring (or from Spring to Summer, Summer to Fall, you get the idea) because, well, it’s seasonless.
Laylow is also the latest project to inspire another complimentary knit workshop! On Saturday, March 21 from 10 AM- 12 PM, we’ll get you started on your own Laylow, complete with a garter tab cast on, yarn overs, and an easy-to-remember drop stitch pattern. Just RSVP when you purchase your pattern booklet and yarn at Home Made to participate.
For this project, we’re using the gorgeous Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light yarn. I used Tosh Merino Light in Optic for the main part of my shawl and Purple Basil for the border. No matter how hard I try, the richness of color in Madelinetosh yarns cannot be captured in my photographs. I guess that just means that you’re in for a real treat when you stop into the shop to see them in person.
I really love how my color choices worked out for this project but think these would be beautiful, too.
So, c’mon, let Laylow inspire you to knit a new shawl, enjoy Tosh Merino Light yarn, and/or tackle some new knitting techniques. You can find all the details right here and then let’s get knitting, folks!
Seasonless pattern booklet containing the Laylow pattern, Madelinetosh yarn, knitting needles and loads of other crafty goodness is sold at Home Made! PLUS, all Clover Takumi Velvet bamboo knitting needles are 20% OFF.
