Garter Rib Sport Socks + Schoppel Wolle’s Ambiente

Garter Rib Sport Socks{Garter Rib Sport Socks in Schoppel Wolle’s Ambiente yarn + Michael Miller’s Something’s Fishy fabric}

One of the yarns that’s been inspiring some knitting projects around here is Schoppel Wolle’s Ambiente, a sturdy 100% super wash merino sport weight yarn that’s softy, bouncy, a whole lot of fair isle-inspired fun. Even the simplest patterns come alive with this yarn–the fair isle patterning created by the dyeing process does most of the work for you!

My friend Tammy recently knit some Garter Rib Sport Socks, a free pattern that you can find here. Gosh, don’t you wish you were on Tammy’s to-knit-for list?! If socks aren’t quite your thing (yet), you could knit scarves, hats, sweaters, gloves, or shawls! By clicking here you can check out some more project inspiration on Ravelry. Personally, I’d stick with a pattern with a simple stitch pattern so you can really let the yarn sing. That way the yarn won’t compete with your stitches.
