You guys. I present to you THE knitting project of the Summer — the Nostaliga Shawl. What better way to remember all the beauty that we soak up from our beloved Jersey Shore than to knit a shawl that captures the essence of beach life? With scrumptious Madelinetosh hand-dyed yarn, no less.
Madelinetosh’s Tosh Merino Light in Sea Salt and Seawash color ways paired with Elena Nodel’s Nostalgia Shawl knitting pattern inspired our new Nostalgia Shawl Knit Kits. This shawl is soft and airy, with beautiful stripes and honeycomb stitch sections that really show off the spectacular colors of this yarn.
I’ve put together Nostalgia Shawl Knit Kits for you in four different color ways so you can knit your own shawl that captures the different elements of shore life that you love. I chose the first color way for mine — Sea + Sun — but the other options are just as pretty!
When you purchase the Nostalgia Shawl Knit Kit in any of our color ways — Sea + Sun, Sea + Sand, Salt Air + Sea Glass, or Sea + Sky — you get the two skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light needed to complete your shawl project and the Nostalgia Shawl knitting pattern (printed for you at the time of purchase). Knitting needles and other notions like stitch markers and yarn needles are sold separately.
AND, when you purchase your Nostalgia Shawl Knit Kit, you’re also invited to participate in our complimentary workshop on Sunday, July 12 from 2 – 4 PM so we can help you with the two aspects of this pattern you might like a little help getting started with: short rows with wraps and turns and the honeycomb stitch pattern. You can read more about our Nostalgia Shawl Complimentary Workshop by clicking here and then RSVP when you purchase your kit!
Ah. Summer knitting at the beautiful Jersey Shore. How lucky are we?!
