I know it’s just water, but adding fresh herbs and citrus can really transform this essential liquid into a refreshing drink that makes you feel like you’re hanging out at a spa. Or a craft studio. (:
Rosemary + lemon water is my new favorite summer drink that I’ve added to the rotation of refreshments served during Home Made classes and Yarn Club. Just fill a pitcher with ice, cut a lemon into half moons and remove seeds, squeeze each lemon piece onto ice before dropping in (I typically use about 3/4 of a lemon), fill pitcher with water, and add two sprigs of fresh rosemary. It’s tastier if you give the rosemary a little time to infuse itself into the water by letting the pitcher sit in the fridge for about 1/2 hour before serving.
So, stay hydrated and enjoy at home or during one of our workshops in the Home Made studio (also sometimes served with chocolate for sustenance). I’ve posted some new classes here — stay tuned for a Pajama Pants and Knit Socks classes for Fall!
Psst. . . This combo is also really refreshing if mixed with a splash of Hendricks or your favorite gin/vodka and club soda.
Since I can’t get enough of rosemary, here ere are two of my other favorite recipes that I’ve been cooking up this summer: Garlic Roast Chicken with Lemon and Rosemary and Perfect Oven Sweet Potato Fries (this recipe doesn’t call for fresh rosemary, but I like to add it to the salt + pepper/olive oil mix to coat my fries before baking).
What are you favorite recipes using fresh rosemary?
