I think you’re really pretty. In a subtle, sophisticated kinda way. I had almost forgotten your quietly bold sense of style because the last and only time I saw you was months ago. In a picture. Seeing you in person is totally different. And, I mean that in a good way, of course. (:
I’m so excited that you’re finally here! Now, would you like to become a throw blanket, duvet cover, or pillows for my couch?
Just so we don’t have any misunderstandings, Dear Stella the newest addition to the Home Made shop. Okay, it might’ve sounded like I was ready to ask Stella to go to the school dance with me (and maybe I kind of want to), but Dear Stella is fabric. And, we’re just friends. . . (:
I got home late last night to find a box full of this fabric sitting in my kitchen. My mother had brought it in for me (because she’s so good to me, as always) because I was in Philadelphia for the afternoon and evening. Of course I couldn’t go to bed without opening it, despite the fact that I didn’t get home until close to 2 AM. Yeah, that alarm hurt a little this morning.
Dear Stella was the perfect ending to a day of wandering around Center City, buying a new monthly planner from this fabulous paperie, grabbing a snack here (bruschetta with herbed ricotta with pistachio and lavender topped with honey–!!!), scoping out the new-ish Farmers’ Cabinet (and by scoping I mean eating more scrumptious food and trying a gin drink with candied ginger and beet juice-YUM!), and seeing The Civil Wars play at the Trocadero–one of the best live shows I’ve seen in a while (you can even download a free live album here!). All in all, it was a day that I think Stella would’ve enjoyed very much. If she were a real person.
So, if you want to read more about this Stella character, you can check out her website by clicking here. You’ll also be able to see some of the projects made with Dear Stella fabric because I haven’t made any of my own yet. It did just arrive last night, people! And, I actually do need to sleep. . .
I will, however, have some fat quarter bundles available in the Home Made shop later today (along with your regular cuts of fabric by the quarter yard, of course)! See you soon. (:
