Plus, with every purchase you can enter to win an organic cotton fat quarter bundle. One lucky winner will receive a Birch Fabrics Circa 60 Beach Mod bundle (valued at $39) and another lucky winner will receive a Timeless Treasures Fruit Punch Bundle (valued at $16.75). Limit one entry per person, yada yada.

So, you might be reading this and thinking–Julie, what’s the big whoop with organic cotton? Well, friends, cotton plays a part in our daily lives from the Q-tip and coffee filter you used this morning to the jeans you’re wearing to the salad dressing you’re going to eat with tonight’s dinner. This means that all the chemicals in the pesticides and fertilizers used to grow the cotton are making their way into your daily life too. That is, unless you’re using organic cotton!

I’m not attempting to get all Debbie Downer on you but, there’s some really startling information regarding this topic. Thankfully, the fabulous Jan DiCintio, of DaisyJanie Fabrics, has a terrific new series on her blog called “Growing Organically.” Jan’s helps us understand the importance of supporting and using organic cotton farming and manufacturing in manageable bites. Thank you! You should check it out right here.

That said, let’s commemorate Earth Day by celebrating the beautiful and earth-conscious craft materials that are available to us in fun prints, beautiful colors, and super soft fibers! Woohoo!
